This is for one (1) quality marine grade stainless steel (AISI 316) D shackle. Each shackle is laser etched 316 for the grade and 5/16" for the size. The shackles are marked in the imperial specification style of 5/16" (for the bow diameter). These D shackles are made in the US Type style of an oversize pin. The bow diameter dictates the size of this US type D shackle, so in the US Type style this is a 3/8" pin (the body is 5/16"). So this shackle has an oversize pin. This a forged shackle, which for load bearing applications is better than a cast shackle. Not to be used for overhead lifting. AISI 316 stainless is a premium grade of stainless and is considered by many to be best in class. 316 stainless is corrosion resistant and very durable even in the harshest of conditions.
